Two years in the making, bringing my first Monhegan show, Strange Roots, from concept to a fully realized body of work displayed at the Edison Studio was a mini act of courage—one that ultimately culminated in an unexpected surrender to personal triumph.

To truly be seen through my photographs by my hometown community was a rewarding return to my own strange, yet beautiful roots.

Between Peaks and Monhegan, the prints traveled by boat five times.

..and counting. A few are scheduled to return to Monhegan later in the season.

A Connection to the Divine is the retelling of the story that continues to anchor me to island life. The collection of images explores themes of faith, death, and isolation inspired by some of my favorite Wyeth paintings.

I am incredibly proud of this work. The prints were locally made on Hahnemühle Bamboo, giving each image a deliciously soft, velvety feel. Each print will be offered unframed.

This show was originally scheduled to be part of the Crow’s Nest 2026 Season, wrapping up yet another dazzling summer of spotlighting creatives in her dreamy space. It was Danielle who gave me—and so many others—the opportunity to share our work in a dedicated gallery. A true art space that bloomed under her care.

It has been an honor to be part of something truly unique—something that had grown into a fortified gathering place for community, connection, and creativity.

I’m excited to see what Danielle creates in the next iteration of the Crow’s Nest. I have no doubt it will take off - perhaps like like a brilliant display of flames, blue-winged crows, daggers, disco balls, and bats out of hell—and become a hot spot where we’ll all want to gather!
